Hello - I was a patient of Dr. Jerry's for years, and was also honored to have him as a family friend. I live in Maryland now and was sad that I couldn't celebrate his life with others back home, so thank you for putting this up to share.
Jerry's friendship was inspirational because he had a satisfying balance of stability and restlessness: he was comfortable where he was, but not afraid to take adventures and try new things. Even late in life, he always seemed to have a new adventure planned while enjoying his life at home, never assuming that he had all the answers or had seen everything there was to see.
He was adventurous, curious, open-minded, and considerate of others, and I'll always consider him an inspiration.
