Working with Jerry Hiura when I was President of the Japantown Community Congress was a refreshing learning experience. Â Jerry, unique in his work, background and outlook always gave us much to consider. Â We always listened because of his deep understanding of Japantown and its history. Â We will always remember Jerry with appreciation for his gifts and all he has given.
